President Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev in Zhidebai
President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev visited Zhidebai and got acquainted with the work done at the Abai-Shakarim memorial complex and the poet’s house-museum. The head of state praised the work done and presented books to the memorial complex and the poet’s house-museum. He also visited the reconstructed “Tourist Center” and praised the work of the pilgrimage service.
On the eve of the 175th anniversary of the poet, the museum of the great thinker was modernized and the territory of the Abai-Shakarim memorial complex was landscaped. The sacred places of East Kazakhstan are closely connected with the birthplace of Abai and the cemetery of the Kunanbai dynasty. Therefore, on the eve of the 175th anniversary of the great Kazakh poet, a lot of work was done here. In particular, Syrt-Kaskabulak, the birthplace of the great thinker, and Akshoki, where the Kunanbai dynasty was buried, were also landscaped.
