The State Historical-Cultural and Literary-Memorial Reserve-Museum of Abai “Zhidebai-Borili” is one of the largest museums in Kazakhstan. The museum was founded in 1940. At present, it unites 8 museums dedicated to the famous personalities of the Kazakh people in Semey, Abai and Urdzhar districts of the Abai region and is a recognized spiritual center, the pride of the people. The funds of the museum include more than 21 thousand exhibits, the scientific library of the museum stores more than 16 thousand publications. The most valuable and important of them are presented in the expositions of the museum.
