EXHIBITION TITLED «THE ABAI MUSEUM – KEEPER OF THE POET’S HERITAGE»
At the Abai «Zhidebai-Borili» State Historical, Cultural, and Literary-Memorial Museum-Reserve of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan, a jubilee exhibition titled «The Abai Museum – Keeper of the Poet’s Heritage» was organized to mark the museum’s 85th anniversary.
The purpose of the exhibition is to showcase the history of the formation and development of this sacred center of the nation’s spirituality, the museum’s many years of activity, and its contribution to the preservation and promotion of cultural heritage.
The exhibition consistently traces the history of the museum from its foundation in 1940 to the present day.
The exposition consists of twelve display cases featuring the museum’s first buildings, its departments, national and local monuments, as well as archival photographs and exhibits dedicated to the anniversaries of Abai Kunanbaiuly and the museum itself.
Visitors to the exhibition becоme acquainted with the history of the museum’s establishment, its achievements over the years, and its work in preserving and popularizing the legacy of the great poet.
The 85-year history of the museum is a testament to the nation’s spiritual greatness, the result of many years of dedication and the responsibility of several generations of museum professionals.
The opening of the exhibition was attended by representatives of the intelligentsia, cultural institution employees, and museum veterans.
