The exhibition “A Precious Fragment,” dedicated to the 125th anniversary of the composer
At the Abai State Museum-Reserve “Zhidebay-Borili,” under the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the exhibition “A Precious Fragment,” dedicated to the 125th anniversary of the composer, educator, and chronicler Akhat Shakarimuly, was opened. The event also featured the presentation of the book “The Father’s Path. The Son’s Duty” by Makash Aliakpar, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor, and member of the Union of Artists of Kazakhstan.
During the event, the Advisor to the Akim of the Abai Region, poet Y. Alshynbay, delivered an opening address and, on behalf of the people, honored the artist by placing a traditional shapan on his shoulders. In his speech, M. Alin, Chairman of the Council of Veterans of the Abai Region, emphasized the significance of the occasion. The Director of the Zhidebay-Borili Museum-Reserve, U. Sagadiyev, presented Makash Aliakpar with a commemorative book published especially for the 180th anniversary of Abai Kunanbayev.
As part of the program, Honored Worker of Culture of the Republic of Kazakhstan, actor of the Abai State Kazakh Musical Drama Theatre A. Nurgamysov, and traditional singer of the Ämre Qashaubayev Philharmonic B. Tuktybayev performed songs by Shakarim.
The exhibition showcases personal belongings of Akhat Shakarimuly, including his outerwear, shirt, suitcase, manuscripts, memoirs, photographs, and books.
The event was attended by representatives of the intellectual community of the Abai Region and the city of Semey, employees of cultural institutions, and students.
