Opened the exhibition “A Writer Inspired by Abai’s Legacy”

On May 18, in celebration of International Museum Day, the Abai State Historical, Cultural, and Literary Memorial Museum-Reserve “Zhidebay-Borili,” under the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan, opened the exhibition “A Writer Inspired by Abai’s Legacy,” dedicated to the 105th anniversary of the birth of writer, distinguished educator, war veteran, member of the Union of Writers of Kazakhstan, recipient of the “Parasat” Order, and Honorary Citizen of the Abai District, Kamen Orazalin.

 The exhibition features the original letter written by Mukhtar Auezov to Kamen Orazalin, the writer’s personal belongings (his watch and pen), the magazine “Abai Urpaktary,” a gift from his student Beibit Saparaly, lesson plans from his years as a teacher, manuscripts, books, awards, and photographs.

The event was attended by representatives of the intellectual community of the Abai Region and the city of Semey, employees of cultural institutions, descendants of the writer, museum visitors, as well as students and schoolchildren.
