125 Years of Qanysh Satbayev

The Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan, at the Abai “Zhidebai-Borili” State Museum-Reserve, opened an exhibition titled “125 Years of Qanysh Satbayev,” organized by the “Bayanauyl Memorial Museum of K.I. Satbayev” in honor of the 125th anniversary of the prominent historical figure, geologist, scholar, public figure, academician, and founder of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Qanysh Satbayev.

The “Bayanauyl Memorial Museum of Academician K.I. Satbayev” is a cultural institution renowned for its valuable artifacts and closely linked to the country’s independence. The museum conducts research, shedding light on the biography and scientific works of Qanysh Imantaiuly. As of today, the museum’s collection holds 5,142 artifacts.

The main goal of the exhibition is to introduce the public to the life journey of this historical figure and his contribution to Kazakh science. In addition, artifacts related to Qanysh Imantaiuly from the museum’s collection were presented to the public. The opening ceremony was attended by students and faculty from educational institutions in Semey, representatives of the intellectual community, and employees of cultural institutions.

Moreover, local artists such as Aidan Baurzhanuly and Doskhan Tursyngazy delighted the audience with their performances.
