Abay day
At the State Museum-Reserve of Abai “Zhidebai-Boryly,” under the Ministry of Culture and Information, cultural and public events dedicated to honoring the name of Abai were held, organized by the Abai Museum and the Department of Culture and Language Development of Semey city in celebration of “Abai Day.”
As part of the event, representatives of the intellectual community of Semey, as well as workers in the fields of culture and arts, laid flowers at the monument “The great poet Abai with his sons,” located on the grounds of the Abai Museum.
A poetry hour titled “Strive for Greater Knowledge,” dedicated to the works of Abai Qunanbaiuly, was held among young poets and masters of artistic recitation.
In addition, cultural and literary workers and artists who participated in the event and have been promoting Abai’s name were awarded letters of appreciation from the Mayor of Semey.
