On November 3, 2021, in the State Museum-Reserve of Abai “Zhidebai-Borili” under the Ministry of Culture and Sports hosted the opening of an exhibition on the theme “Tamyr teren tugan Zher” of the Pavlodar Regional Museum of Local Lore named after G.N.Potanin, dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

This cultural event, which united the museum staff and established a bridge of cooperation between the Semey and Pavlodar regions, is one of the initiatives implemented within the framework of the Memorandum signed in 2019 on expanding creative ties between the two museums – the Abai Museum and the Pavlodar Regional Museum of Local Lore named after Mr. N. Potanin.

The Pavlodar Regional History and Local Lore Museum named after G.N.Potanin is one of the largest research centers of the Pavlodar region. To date, the museum’s fund has more than 112 thousand exhibits, most of them are archaeological, ethnographic, numismatic, collections of photographs, documents, scientific and technical, industrial and weapons items.

Speaking at the event, the director of the Abai Museum, the philosopher-literary critic Turdykul Shanbai thanked the management and staff of the museum who took part in the organization of the exhibition and presented gifts. Gulzhainat Aliyeva, the head of the multimedia museum department Irtysh of the Pavlodar Regional History and Local Lore Museum named after Mr. N. Potanin, also had the opportunity to convey greetings of the Irtysh-Bayan region and present souvenirs to the museum fund.

At the opening of the exhibition, representatives of the intelligentsia and students of Semey performed by the singer of the East Kazakhstan Regional State Philharmonic named after Amre Kashaubayev, laureate of international and republican competitions Zhasulan Tazhiyev listened to Abai’s song “Ata-anaga koz kuanysh” and got acquainted with more than a hundred exhibits from the rich history of the Pavlodar region, exchanged questions and answers about the exhibition.

The exhibition of this museum on the theme “Tamyr teren tugan zher” will work for a month in the historical, cultural, literary and memorial reserve-museum of Abai Zhidebai-Borili.
